On a rainy day, Jurgen and Marinka open a wooden hatch in the attic of the beautiful old house they’ve just moved into. Behind this hatch they discover old items that the previous residents did not take with them. At the very end of the crawl space, under a layer of dust and cobwebs, they find an antique lamp. They take it into the living room and discover, after dusting it off, that this is no ordinary lamp. By gazing into the light of the lamp with closed eyes, they experience something magical. What they “see” are beautiful colors and shapes, interspersed with fragments and images of stories. They want to grant this experience to all people! Because not everyone has access to the mysterious lamp, Jurgen and Marinka write about the worlds behind closed eyes in “Books for the Soul”.
